Catamco, Piñols in good terms?

Catamco, Piñols in good terms?

MAGPET, North Cotabato– The presence of Rep. Nancy A. Catamco of the second congressional district at the culmination program Saturday, August 13, of the 48th Founding Annivesary of Magpet intrigued those who attended the occasion.

For one, Catamco is a staunch political foe of the Piñols after she defeated in the May 2010 national and local elections Bernardo Piñol in the congressional race. Piñol is the brother of Magpet mayor Efren Piñol, who invited Catamco to grace the event.

Another Piñol, Emmanuel, also lost to Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza in the gubernatorial race. He was however not around during the culmination.

Mendoza and 2nd District Rep. Jesus Sacdalan, who were Catamco’s allies during the elections, were also not around.

The three themselves were not actually part of the programme prepared by the host municipality.

Sen. Jinggoy Estrada should have to be the guest of honor but was represented by Games and Amusement Board Commissioner Mateo Gascon.

Catamco, in her speech, promised more projects for Magpet, especially to those indigenous peoples.

Reliable sources claimed that Catamco and the Piñols would join forces in the 2013 midterm elections against the incumbent governor.
