DAVAO CITY – A 67-year-old retired United States Army was found dead inside a hotel here Sunday morning, police said.
Police identified the victim as Mack Carrol Jackson, who was found with bullet wound on his head at 11 a.m. Sunday inside Room 107 in Sampaguita Inn along Quirino Avenue here.
It was learned that Jackson started to board the hotel since August 18, 2012 along with a Filipina wife, who was no longer found after the incident.
Further investigation showed that a woman a policeman reportedly went to the hotel and looked for Jackson but did not specify details on their intention to see Jackson.
Jackson was reported to be a businessman engaged in buying gold bars.
His remains now lie in state at the nearby Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes. (ASA)
